Professional Identification Cards (PICs) applied at SM Malls to be released in 20 days

Manila, January 2013 – Are you a PRC ID applicant last year or early this year, 2013? Good! Because the Professional Regulation Commission has already announced that the Professional Identification Cards (PICs) which board passers have applied for at any SM Malls nationwide will be released in 20 working days, according to the press release. This will happen at the beginning of January 17, 2013 so please be patient and know if your ID has been released by going at the nearest PRC office.

The Commission recently decided on the longer period for the release of the PICs as a temporary measure while maintenance and enhancement work on its online systems and the installation of an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IPVPN) are underway. The systems upgrade seeks to strengthen the reliability and security of PRC information technology (IT) infrastructure and ensure the prompt delivery of PRC online services.

The Commission assures the public that the seven (7) working day processing time for PIC renewal at the malls will be resumed as soon as the systems upgrade is completed by the middle or late part of February.

PRC is asking the public’s understanding for the temporary inconvenience. Meanwhile, if you took the recent nursing board, I would like to suggest that you stand by for the soon to be released complete list of NLE Board Passers for December 2012 Exam. We will announce it on that page.
